Matilda S’Online Interview

Matilda began to play Netball she was in her primary school level,she doing grade 4.Her class Teacher Mrs Magagula from Fairview primary school influenced and inspired her to play and take Netball seriously.Matilda told us she felt so wonderful to play in Wm Netball Development league under Wm Netball Foundation, because she spent most her time preparing herself regarding the games.Challenges she faced since started playing Netball ,said sometimes she get injuries, she have to be patient even if someone is playing rough towards her.Regarding Netball development in South Africa according to her said Netball should be taken serious in South Africa and she thinks most Girls or People can be inspired also insisted Netball games must be shown on Big Channels ,especially on SABC and Supersport ,that’s where most people will notice also netball is very important like any other sports .People motivates her to do better every day is her family ,team mates,because they love what she is doing .
Matilda s’ favourite netballer is Bongiwe Msomi from the Spar Proteas and Also her aim is to emulate her to become the Best player in the African Continent .Her Best and favourite mentor in Netball is Dorrete Badenhorst the strategies she uses towards the Spar Proteas its inspirational also the support she shows towards her players its Amazing. In 3 years s’ time Matildà wants see herself playing for one of the Biggest teams in around South Africa.Thoughts regarding Wm Netball Foundation happily said most young girls wants to play Netball now because they inspired by Wm Netball development league and tournaments also more Netball teams are coming through. Encouraging words regarding upcoming youngsters Concerning Netball ,said Netball is Amazing sport you just have to give out your Best and be decent. Matilda also hinted that she wants netballers to improve their skills by training harder referring to teams playing under Wm.Thought s about Olimpio ,said Olimpio was so good in organising everything and he was very patient with them even sometimes they gave him hard times but he was patient with them,she wish to see him next season.

Thandolwethu ,was 11 years old when she first started playing Netball 2011 at primary School.The person influenced and inspired Thandolwethu to become a Netball player ,is her former Teacher Mrs Magagula and also her Mom was a Netball player ,she was so inspired every time she plays.when we asked her how she feels to participated in Wm Netball League and Tournament (Wm Netball Foundation)?, said at first ,She would like to say its the Best thing that has ever happened in Barberton Netball ,it feels great and it gives them hope that one Day they going to reach their Goals as Netball players.Regarding challenges she faced since started playing Netball ,she experienced injuries ,also her community they don’t take Netball as an important sport,so that made her lose hope because they don’t get enough Support.According to her she would like to see more development players coming from Rural Areas get recognized ,said there are more talent hidden in those Areas. The person motivates here to do better every Day is her Mom and Bongiwe Msomi .Her Achievements as a Netball player, she won Several Tournaments and also she told us her Best Mentor is Dumisani Chauke ,highlighted she is a very hard working Coach, she always motivates players to do Better. In 3 years s’ time Thandolwethu ,wants to see herself playing in one of the Bigger teams also playing for National Team.For her Participating to Wm Netball Foundation is a motivation itself also motivated many young Girls that there still a chance for them to play professional Netball,also it brought hope that one Day will make it .Encouraging words regarding upcoming youngsters ,said they should believe on what they are doing, they Shouldn’t lose hope also they should listen to their coaches regarding instructions etc in a way they will see where they going with their Netball talent or skills.Insisted Patience is the only way to become a better player if you want to make it Netball.Thandolwethu is happy with the concept called Wm Netball Foundation and Wm Netball development league, saying the project is doing great job,they must continue doing it.Encouraging words to the operational Manager of Wm Netball Foundation Olimpio ,she appreciate him for taking his time just to improve Netball in Barberton,, happily said his been great .

Our first Question regarding Nolwazi,when all started concerning her Netball Career?she replied when was shown on TV (channel 210),she got more interested and she realized it is fast,physical, demanding and skilful Game. Nolwazi was influenced and inspired by her friend Noxolo Vanessa Matsinhe.when she grew up her Ambition, is to grow in the Career path that live Chosen. She always wanted to be an outstanding Netballer to a point where she got to play with people she look up to now.According to her,she told us playing Netball comes with a mountain of Responsibilities, you must always to be on toes,take your training seriously. People motivates Nolwazi to do Better every Day is her friends, Mom,Mr Wonder Myanga and Lifa Gwebu.
During her Netball Career she learned that Success and Failure are all matters of Perspective and the failure are Actually just as important as the Good Victories. Since she started playing Netball, Nolwazi Achieved the following: She was selected as a Captain at BYB,She won a Certificate as a Best Attacker for Wm Netball Tournament (12 June 2021).Tshina Mdau is her favourite Netballer,She grew up watching her and happily said she was absolutely amazed by her Skill.In 3 years s’time Nolwazi wants to see herself playing for Big known Teams and Appearing on TV.Thoughts about Wm Netball Foundation said they promote Young Players and Encourage them to do better. Thandeka started playing Netball in November 2020 ,also happily said she loved Netball since was young ,she was just waiting for a Good Team.She told us no one influenced or inspired her to play Netball.Thandeka haven’t faced any serious Challenge regarding playing Netball Games. The lessons she learned during a short period for playing Netball, she learnt that being together with other people is Great,she meant ,she got a chance to know places and met kind People. Her Ambitions as a Netball player she wanna grow old as a Netball player,she want to be a star and make her Parents Proud. Regarding her Achievements playing Netball ,she got few medals.According to her to be part of Wm Netball Foundation ,she felt good and she is Grateful that there are people out there who are taking them Serious as Netball Players,highlighted Olimpio is the one inspires them .Person motivates Thandeka to do better is her friend Nonhlanhla Mandlazi,she always there for her during Good and Bad times.
Thandeka s’ favourite and Best Mentor/Coach is Nokwanda Shiba ,happily said she is the Best ,makes sure that her team is Safe also sacrifices for everything to make them .When we asked about her favourite Netball player ,she told us Karla Pretorius ,she is a Great Netball player and she look up on her.Hinted about her thoughts said for her Wm concept is a Good thing to happen Because now Women have something to spend time with and make their Dreams come true,also said many Girls now depending on Netball and according to her it is a good thing.In 3 years s’ time Thandeka wants to see herself in a Private School where the Government pays all the fees for her and become a Great Netball Player in that school.Thandeka said it feels Good to play under Wm Netball Foundation because she still new in Netball but this makes her not to give up and it gives her hope that her Netball Dreams come true.Her last words concerning Wm Netball Tournament ,they had a fun time on the Tournament and they give all the respect to Limpio thanks being there for them and please carry on Supporting they love it.
