Sibusiso Masilela started playing football at the tender age in Secunda 2006,he was watching kaizer chiefs playing a final,that’s where he saw Rowen Fernandez saving penalties, the following day ,he started playing in goals and was told had a talent there deep down knew he had a passion for it.Proudly said his grand dad was a goalkeeper too,also his father played the game, then he had Rowen Fernandez and Itumeleng Khune as his footballing idols. His main goal has always been to touch lives of people, also making a difference to young ones especially those ones coming from disadvantage Areas,also highlighted to give them a sense of hope and believe that irregardless of your background, you can be whatever you wish to be.his main ambition obviously play at the elite level here in South Africa,which is Dstv Premier League now and hopefully play for National Team as well if is God s’will.Regarding his football journey he learnt many,lessons through playing the game,hard work really beats talent ,if talent doesn’t work enough, said not everything you plan will go according to your plan or your time,hinted we can plan but only God will decides, so faith,Patience, belief and hard work are huge part of the game if you wanna succeed.for him being chosen at Orlando Pirates Fc and Supersport United Development structures was huge for him,said all know when young players grew up wanted to professional football ,told us he was Blessed enough to be chosen amongst the best no matter those deals didn’t materialise ,proudly said that was something special.Also being part of Mbombela United Fc (Glad Africa outfit), was the highlight of his career.Previous teams, he started with a team in Secunda,called Roman Stars Fc,when he moved to Nelspruit ,played for Nelspruit Young Lions Development, then joined a castle team called Willy Stars Fc, also played for Easthigh Academy, Foreck Fc and Mbombela United Fc .Sibusiso Currently registered with Elshedai united Fc ABC Motsepe outfit ,highlight of his career to played his first professional match for Mbombela United Fc against Moroka Swallows Fc.he enjoyed working with coach xile,known him ever since he was a youngster and he believes in him so much,happily said Family is more than anything for everything for them .he said all the coaches played part in his football development, from Magazi and Kaizer in Secunda ,Thabo Shabangu proudly said his mentor from kaMagugu ,Coach Wonder and Coach Bhuti enjoyed working with them also thank them for helping him to grow as a footballer he is today,also can’t leave this interview mention Coach Xilo Sikhondze ,his Best ever Goalkeeper Coach.Sibusiso s ‘ last words was happy and had a great feeling to play professional football, he rubbed shoulders and trained with the guys saw them on TV,guys though thought will never meet but it happened through football, also he was glad to learnt a lot and took all of that,applied in his life and growth as human being.
